Limited Earthquake Policy

Provides basic coverage for earthquake damage to your dwelling.

Coverage is not provided for separate structures such as a detached garage or perimeter fence. The policy pays up to $5,000 for personal contents and $1,500 for Loss of Use (also known as additional living expenses.) The limited earthquake policy carries a 15% deductible; losses are not paid until the amount of damage exceeds 15%.

Comprehensive Earthquake Policy

Provides coverage for earthquake damage to your dwelling, separate structures, and personal contents; also provides loss of use coverage. The policy pays up to 50% of Coverage A for personal property or contents and up to 20%, but not to exceed $25,000, for Loss of Use (also known as additional living expenses). The comprehensive earthquake policy carries a 10% deductible; losses are not paid until the amount of damage exceeds 10%.

Equity Protector Earthquake Coverage

Enables you to select the amount of earthquake insurance for your dwelling; you do not have to insure to full value. This policy carries a deductible equal to 10% of the amount of insurance you select thereby enabling you to have a much lower deductible than standard earthquake policies. Provides earthquake coverage for the dwelling only. It is designed to enable you to cover the equity you have in your home. Example: Your home is insured for $400,000 on your homeowner policy. You believe your equity in your home to be $100,000. You purchase a $100,000 Equity Protector Earthquake Policy from Century-National. Your earthquake deductible is now $10,000 (10% of $100,000) instead of $60,000 (15% of $400,000) if you had insured with a Limited Earthquake policy. An earthquake causes $100,000 of covered damage to your dwelling. You receive loss payments from your Equity Protector Earthquake policy of $90,000 to repair your home. This compares to loss payments of $40,000 if you had insured your home with a Limited Earthquake policy.

You can keep your current homeowners policy

Our homeowner policy is very popular and competitive, but we won't force you to switch when you purchase one of our earthquake policies. If your homeowner policy is not with us, you can keep your current coverage and just buy our earthquake policy for complete protection of your home.
